Khatoon Abad Copper Smelting Complex (located in Shahr-e Babak), in partnership with NERIN Co. and NFC Co., draws upon flash smelting technology and has been constructed to meet the goal of producing 80,000 tons of anodic copper from copper concentrate annually.

Khatoon Abad Copper Smelting Complex comprises concentrate storage units, burdening units, drying units, dust-collecting systems, Flash Furnace (FF), Electric Furnace (EF), Converting Furnace (CF), Refining Furnace (RF), and Casting Wheel (CW).
