Construction of Chehel Koureh Copper Concentrator Plant, Sistan and Balouchestan
The construction of Chehel Koureh Copper Concentrator Plant is one of the 35 large-scale projects included in Iran’s macroeconomic policies (Resistance Economy) and is considered a major step towards the plan’s realization. The plant began to operate based on the mineral potentials of Sistan and Balouchestan Province with NICICO’s investment and the NIPEC’s cooperation under EPC contract terms and conditions. The plant is capable of producing 1,000 tons of copper sulfide ore per day, which could lead to the production of 16,000 tons of copper concentrate per year with the rate of purity of 20%. This plant, whose basic and detailed engineering designs were developed by NIPEC, consists of two parts:
- Crushing plant with the capacity of 75 tons per hour
- Flotation plant with the capacity of 40 tons per hour
