A conveyor system is the most efficient system to transfer minerals to processing lines in huge tonnages. The feed of Sarcheshmeh Copper Concentrate Plant is delivered by the Conveyor Belt #2 from the gyratory crusher to the concentrator plant’s main stockpile. The belt is one of the strategic bottlenecks in the copper concentrator plant and, having been in service for more than 40 years, was in desperate need to be enhanced. The construction of new concrete piers and new steel structure, as well as other necessary modifications to the Conveyor Belt #2 in Sarcheshmeh Copper Complex, are well underway under EPC contract terms by NIPEC.
